Our commitment

MAOLE Fine Jewelry is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are steadily improving the store to remove barriers as we find them.

Conformance target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is our technical target for the design, code, and content of maolejewelry.com.

What we reviewed and how

In October 2026 we reviewed the main templates and shared components of this website by inspecting the code directly: the shop and product pages, category pages, cart and checkout flow, sign-in and account recovery, contact form, privacy policy, and the site footer.

Fixes we made in this review include: a "Skip to main content" link, clearly visible keyboard focus indicators, accessible names for icon-only buttons, a pause control for the homepage slideshow, support for reduced-motion preferences across CSS and JavaScript animations (including changes made to that preference while browsing), properly associated form labels, improved color contrast on small text, accessible names for quantity and attachment controls, product card thumbnails that are available to keyboard and touch users, and screen-reader announcements of the result count when search, filter, or sort results update.

The changes were verified by building the site and reviewing the updated components. This review was a code-based audit; full browser, keyboard, and screen-reader testing is still pending (see below).

Known limitations and untested areas

• We have not yet completed keyboard-only walkthroughs, screen-reader testing (such as VoiceOver or NVDA), zoom and reflow testing, or testing with people with disabilities. These manual tests are our next step.
• The payment pages you reach at the end of checkout are hosted by Stripe and follow Stripe's own accessibility practices. We have not tested them.
• Content embedded from third parties (such as social media feeds) follows the accessibility practices of those platforms.
